Complications of MESH feedback survey
NHS England is currently undertaking an audit of Mesh services and is working with Sling The Mesh and Rectopexy Mesh Victims and Support groups which are supporting women living with complications of Mesh. We wish to hear directly from women who have experienced complications of Mesh and have drawn up a survey to find out about their experiences.
We’d like to hear from women who have had or have considered having treatment for their Mesh complications, both surgical (mesh removal) and non-surgical treatment (including physiotherapy and pain management, for example).
The survey has been designed to collect feedback about how women reached the decision to seek, or not seek treatment of complications of Mesh (including removal), how they made their decision and their experiences with health services and health staff delivering treatment for complications of Mesh.
To enable respondents to feel comfortable the survey does not ask for any personal identifiable information such as name or postcode. However, there are some questions which ask for details related to your treatment for complications of Mesh and your experience of care.
This feedback survey is important as its findings will, alongside the other elements of the audit, identify good practice but also where improvements in services are needed.
As the feedback survey is designed to capture the lived experience of women who have used Mesh services, the insight gained from the findings of the survey will be particularly valuable in informing improvement initiatives for the service and Mesh Centres in England.
Participation is entirely voluntary. NHS England staff working on the survey (Sally Cavanagh and Jasmine Abson) will carry out the analysis. Reports of findings will only contain anonymised data and information.Feedback Survey Form
